Head of Ophthalmology | Vitreoretinal Surgeon
Consultant Ophthalmologist & Vitreoretinal Surgeon
MBBS, MS (Ophthalmology), Fellowship in Vitreoretina
Dr. Parineeta Sachdeva heads the ophthalmology unit at Baweja Multispeciality Hospital.
She began her vitreoretinal career at Sohana Eye Hospital and has spent close
to sixteen years in dedicated retina practice since, managing a large volume of
complex retinal disease alongside routine and complicated cataract surgery.
Her practice covers the three areas most patients in this district actually need — the
retina, where sight is most often lost quietly and late; cataract
surgery, including the difficult cases other centres decline; and everyday
general ophthalmology for families across Rupnagar. Much of her work is with
diabetic patients, whose eye disease is treatable when it is caught in time and devastating
when it is not.
She has eight papers published in national and international journals, and runs a
charitable initiative providing eye care to patients with diabetic eye disease who cannot
otherwise afford treatment.

Sight Saved Early, Not Late.
Retinal disease rarely announces itself. If you have diabetes, an annual eye check is the
single most useful appointment you can keep — advanced retinal care is now available in
Rupnagar, without a trip to Chandigarh or Ludhiana.
